Patient Arrivals

A blue Patient Arrival indicator displays on the status bar when patients arrive and sign in for appointments. It is designed to ensure a provider acknowledges checked in patients or checks in signed in patients when they arrive for appointments.

The indicator displays if all the following has occurred:

• A provider is logged in to axiUm.
• The provider has an appointment.
• The patient has arrived for the appointment and signed in.

Clear the Patient Arrivals Indicator

1. Review the Patient Arrival indicator.



2. Click the Patient Arrival indicator to display the Patient Arrivals window.



3. Select the appointment and click Acknowledge to check in the patient.

Note: The Check In button changes to Acknowledge when you select an appointment.

If configured by your institution, the Patient Check In form displays.

4. If necessary, review and close the Patient Check In form.
